4. Advertising & In-App Purchases
Leafa currently contains no advertisements of any kind. We do not work with any ad networks, and no advertising SDK is embedded in the app.
Leafa also has no in-app purchases. All features are available at no cost and we do not collect any payment information.
5. Third-Party Services
To deliver plant identification, we use AI processing services. These services process your photo solely to return a plant identification result and operate under strict data handling agreements.
We may also use Apple's built-in crash reporting (via Xcode / TestFlight) to monitor app stability. Apple's privacy policy governs that data.
6. Data Retention
Photos you submit for identification are processed in real time and not retained on our servers beyond the processing window. Your plant history stored in the app lives only on your device and is never uploaded to us.
Anonymous crash logs are retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
7. Children's Privacy
Leafa is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal data through the app, please contact us immediately and we will delete such data promptly.

All communication between the app and our AI service is encrypted using industry-standard TLS. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data transmitted through Leafa.
9. Local Notifications
Leafa may request permission to send local notifications to remind you of your plant care schedules — for example, watering days or fertilizing reminders.
These notifications are scheduled and stored entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or process any reminder or schedule data on our servers. Your care routines never leave your phone.
